PNG Files are NOT Vector

There's this misconception that png files are vector. There are even free clipart sites that says png files are vector. They are not!

PNG files are image files like a jpg with the ability to save a transparent background. Image files (also called raster or bitmap) are images made up by pixels. Enlarging and reducing the sizes of these files will affect the quality.

Vector on the other hand are made up of mathematical points and lines, which means this type of artwork can be enlarged or reduce without ever losing it's quality.
